Vintage Football League II
Sunday July 11, 2004
Hello Football Fans,
I am getting ready to start another fantasy football league for 2004! This year I am making some changes to the Vintage Football League to help the non-Nintendo players have a shot at the title. The major change will be by combining the actual NFL games and the VFL season.
What does this mean to you? You should try to pick the team that is going to win the NFL Super Bowl this year.
The VFL season will still be simulated by the Anderson's Nintendo 64 game system. However, the games will be adjusted to match the outcome of your team's real NFL results (if you choose). Each week, you will make one additional pick (REAL for NFL results and FANTASY for nintendo results). Your involvement can be as simple as just picking your favorite team and letting the nintendo game do the rest. Here is the schedule:
By July 25, 2004 - Pick or change your team (first come, first served)
Anytime - Trade or create personalized players
Last year's members are already included in this year's league and do not have to respond unless a change is requested. Members have first right of refusal on their teams from last year.
Sunday August 8, 2004
The VFL preseason starts this week! The preseason is a good time to get to see how the regular season will work. You can go to the home page and practice picking your results or make some trades. The full preseason schedule is listed under the schedule link below the regular season. The first week we only have 4 games (the NFL only has 1 game: 8/9 DEN vs WAS) so picking results this week won't make any difference.
Also, if you are not happy with your team in the preseason, there is still time to change or join before the regular season starts. You can see which teams are owned by going to the standings link on the website. The deadline has been extended for changing teams. Here is the schedule:
By September 8, 2004 - change your team (first come, first served)
